Ride With Me: How Angela Tafoya Keeps it Car-free and Committed to Movement

Posted by Bluejay Electric Bicycles on

We’re in the saddle with Angela Tafoya—a San Francisco-based business owner, creator, and mom of two who clocks plenty of mileage on her trusty bike, kids included.

Fill in the blank.

________________ gets me out of bed each AM.

My two-and-half-year-old son. Literally, he calls me into his room every morning around 6 a.m.

What are you most proud of?

First and foremost, my kids—I’m so proud of the little humans they are growing into and I love seeing them embrace their own independence. I’m also proud of the work I’ve done in the editorial space as well as taking the leap to start my own business 1.5 years ago!

What’s the one thing you cannot live without?

My Oura ring. I started using it about five or so years ago and I haven’t looked back. It’s a nice reminder to commit to movement but I also love it to track my sleep—and it’s opened my eyes to certain things that throw off a good night’s sleep (hint: wine!). I love it so much!

What do you love most about your Bluejay?

I love that it allows us to explore our city through a different lens. It’s so nice venturing out to new places without needing a car! We’ve been on some really fun adventures with our Bluejay bikes.

What’s your favorite place to ride your Bluejay?

Golden Gate Park! Since JFK is car-free, it feels really safe and easy to take a Sunday family ride through the park!
