I love my bike! My sister has an e-bike and was out riding almost daily while my traditional pedal bike never left the garage. I decided to purchase my BlueJay and am so happy with it! It is easy to use, fun to cruise and now we ride our local trails together. I can ride anywhere without altering routes to avoid steep hills. I cruise right along and even after 20 miles, I zip up the hill to my house.
It’s easily the best like you’ll ever own. Fast, easy to ride, and stylish. It’s a great gift.
I got a BlueJay to replace my regular bicycle because I was getting tired of planning my routes around some of the hills we have in this town. I'm impressed! This bike is faster so it saves a bit of time, but what it saves much more of is effort. I laugh at hills I used to avoid like the plague, and I ride a lot more now. It's hard to find an e-bike that doesn't look awful. I know there's more important things to consider but aesthetics do go a long way with me. I store the bike in the house and I don't need an eyesore in the hallway. My old bike bike was imported from the Netherlands. And while this bicycle is not dutch, I suspect it was heavily influenced by Dutch bicycle design. And that is good because Dutch bikes are not sporting goods, they are tools. Not to say that the bike isn't excellent for recreational riding, it is. But if you're looking for a bicycle that looks great and can handle bringing home some serious groceries, this is probably the best you're going to find short of a cargo bike.
This is my first e-bike so I have nothing to compare to. That said I've been impressed by the range. If I'm just running errands in town, I'll just go on level five and know that I'm not going to come close to running out of power. If I need to go a couple towns over, level 3 is a great balance of power and battery conservation. And you can still do 20mph if you're willing to work for it.
I don't love the trigger shifters. They're easy to work, but I'm very accustomed to just being able to twist a gear shift into whatever gear I please without having to cycle through them all. But that's literally the only thing I don't love about this bicycle.
