How to Adjust the Handlebars

Guidelines for Adjusting the Handlebars

The stem on your Bluejay electric bicycle can be adjusted up and down to allow you to find a comfortable position on the bike. The ideal position is that the arms have a slight bend in them and are not stretched away from the body while the rider sits on the bike and holds the handlebars.

Adjusting the Stem

  1. Use a 6 mm Allen wrench (provided) to loosen the stem bolt.
  2. Move the stem up or down to the desired position
  3. While holding the stem and handlebars in the desired position, use the 6 mm Allen wrench to retighten the stem adjustment bolt to a torque value of 18 Nm.

NOTICE: Ensure that the stem, seat post, and seat are properly tightened before riding. Failure to properly tighten these elements can result in serious injury or death.
